As Pitchfork reported Belle and Sebastian debuted a new song entitled ‘I Didn’t See It Coming’ earlier in the week at a show in Helsinki, Finland.

The band are currently hard at work on their first album in five years.

Belle & Sebastian To Release Deluxe LP Of Rarities And Collectibles ‘The Third Eye Centre’ This August 02/07/13 in Belle and Sebastian

We’re excited to announce that Belle & Sebastian will release ‘The Third Eye Centre’ – a collection of rarities, collectibles and non-LP tracks from the last decade – on 26th August on Rough Trade Records in the UK and 27th August on Matador in the US. The album will be available to buy on CD, download and as a double heavyweight vinyl in deluxe heavy gatefold packaging. Watch this space for pre-order information.

The album includes one brand new track ‘Your Cover’s Blown (Miaoux Miaoux Remix)’, which you can listen to here:

The remaining tracks are taken from the Glaswegian band’s most recent three albums released on Rough Trade – ‘Dear Catastrophe Waitress’ (2003), ‘The Life Pursuit’ (2006) and ‘Write About Love’ (2010).
