British Sea Power Book Readings 16/08/11 in Books

Tickets are now on sale for two events in Newcastle and Glasgow tying in with the imminent
publication of the book Do It For Your Mum, a non-fiction tale of family,
rock music and British Sea Power.

Thurs 25 Aug: Morden Tower, Newcastle upon Tyne. The event will feature Roy Wilkinson reading from Do It For Your Mum, plus additional features and music from the excellent finger-picking guitarist Steve Malley, aka The Horse Loom. Morden Tower is a striking and intimate venue that has previously hosted readings from Ted Hughes and Alan Ginsberg. Ticket Link

Sat 27 Aug: The Old Hairdressers, Renfield Lane, Glasgow. Roy Wilkinson reading from Do It For Your Mum as part of an evening that will also included live performances from Jock Scot, The Sexual Objects and Vic Godard of the Subway Sect. Vic’s backing band will be a unique crack caledonian combo, including Davey Henderson (ex-Fire Engines and Nectarine No. 9) and Gareth Sager (ex-Rip, Rig + Panic). Ticket Link
