WILDER release Girls Vs Boys 26 July 2010 in Wilder
This week sees the release of Girls Vs Boys, the debut single from Bristol indie upstarts WILDER.
The demo version of Girls Vs Boys was previously given away to fans on CD-R’s whilst the band were on the road with the likes of Julian Casablancas, The Maccabees and I Blame Coco.
Girls Vs Boys is available as a limited 7” from Rough Trade Shops.
WILDER are playing at the launch of Steve Lamacq’s new club night ‘Going Deaf For A Living‘ at The Bull and Gate in London this Thursday.

Last Friday WILDER took over a house boat in their native city of Bristol to play an intimate show to 300 fans and friends.

Biography
We are Bec (drums), Joe (bass), Jay (synths) and Sam (vox and guitar) and we are Wilder, named after 40s film noir legend Billy Wilder and a weird bot from the original 80s Transformers cartoon.
Think Friendly Fires, The Whip, The Rapture, The Gossip, the digital itch of Boy 8 Bit, new wave Talking Heads, some Neu! Kraut-groove, Captain Beefheart, the Velvet Underground, Little Richard, 50’s R&R and some foxy old art-school era Roxy Music. At least thats what people tell us.
We’ve toured with The Strokes’ singer Julian Casablancas and played shows with the Maccabees and I Blame Coco. And that’s the story so far.
