Over the next 20 years, the label released records by Stiff Little Fingers, Young Marble Giants, The Slits, Cabaret Voltaire, The Raincoats, The Pop Group, The Fall, Wire, Pere Ubu, The Fall, Aztec Camera, Scritti Politti, The Woodentops, The Go-Betweens, The Smiths, Robert Wyatt, Galaxie 500, The Sundays, James, Jonathan Richman to name but a handful. The first Tugboat release, "Joan Of Arc" by Low set the high standard of things to come.
